Emile Henry Presents Gastron
The Premier French Ceramic Collection for Food Service
Made of All Natural Materials in France
NRA Booth # 5447

New Castle, DE -- May 2011 -- Emile Henry presents the Gastron ceramic baking and serving collection at the 2011 NRA Show. This collection is as beautiful as it is high performing. The glossy, lead-free glazes make food bars and steam tables stylish and enticing. Food looks great in Gastron whether used as chafers or displayed in refrigerated cases. The pieces are so delightful that customers in French café's have been spotted photographing Gastron on buffet tables for food blogs.

Gastron is made of Ceradon® ceramic, an excellent thermal diffuser, that remains hot or cold longer than other materials. Highly resistant to thermal shocks (-4°F to 500°F) and mechanical shocks, these dishes are chip resistant even in the most hectic of kitchens. The glazes, fired at a very high temperature (2100°F), resist the most aggressive of detergents and sharp instruments. The dishes are scratch resistant. The hard glaze is absolutely smooth and non-porous, which makes cleaning easy and reduces the time and labor to clean baking dishes. The dishes are perfectly hygienic and stackable for compact storage.

Chefs and restaurant owners in Europe frequently choose Gastron for its selection of colors and geometric shapes. "I have replaced our stainless steel with the yellow and blue. My delicatessen is now much more attractive," explains Yvan Chaudagne, Carrefour Hypermarket, Roanne. And according to Yves Darchy, BHV Department Store Cafeteria, Paris, "My salad and dessert table is entirely made up of bowls and hexagons in citron. This color is bright, and lights up the whole cafeteria."

Founded in 1850, and located in Marcigny, a small town in the province of Burgundy, France, Emile Henry has established a worldwide reputation for manufacturing the finest quality ceramic ovenware, gourmet cooking products, and bakeware products. Still owned and operated by the Henry family, the company today manufactures all of their new cooking products from Burgundy clay using their proprietary Ceradon® and Flame® state-of-the-art manufacturing processes. Burgundy clay is an extraordinary material that slowly and evenly diffuses heat to the center of cooking dish so food cooks evenly and offers heat retention properties that keep food hot longer than metals and other ceramics. There is no lead or cadmium in Emile Henry products, all glazes meet California Prop 65, and all products are 100% food safe.

Worldwide, professional chefs appreciate Emile Henry for the many products and shapes that are properly designed for cooking and baking. Emile Henry is certified ISO 9001.
